Well, my saga in Whistling Woodzs Resort continues….
Alright before I begin with the 3rd part of the blog let me just make one thing clear: No! You are not a foodie if you love having occasionally chats outside or if you know few fancy places where you get the best shawarma & even if you eat like Gulliver on a strict mass gain regime!
It's just like the times when every DSLR owner thought he/she was a professional photographer (BTW its present times :p). Being foodie for me is a passion; I mean how lucky are those food bloggers who actually get paid for having amazing new dishes! (What more could you ask for god, you are paid to have awesome food).
Pardon me for the off topic discussion, but we were sitting at this amazing dining area which had Kali river on its one side and the beautiful nature on its other sides. We were served with my favorite dishes (the steaming mushroom soup, finely roasted French toast with extra eggs & extremely spicy chicken chilly) and I could hardly hold myself back with that amazing aroma filling the air and right then my friend says I am a big time foodie and that was enough to push me and set me in motion to prove that he isn't one! (Especially Because I know him).
Okay! The main reason that I am speaking about the food so much is that more than 75% of my destinations are solely based on the awesome food that I get there & this place for me is a must visit every year!
Just when I was about to get up after a lip-smacking dinner, I saw something tent like right in the middle of the river and I was kind of confused, so I asked one of the staff over there and to my amusement, those were called floating tents which people get to book for their stay! I just had few follow-up questions and an extreme desire to try it out, so I ran to the reception and asked them if that floating tent was available for tonight, and yes it was available.
The lady was kind enough to re-accommodate us to the floating and also answer all my pestering questions with a smile.
Finally, we were off to bed and usually in most of the scenarios this would mean a short end to the adventure till the next morning, but for us, the 1st time experience of sleeping on the Kali River (literally) was too exciting.
The occasional wobbly feeling of the flowing river was acting like a professional masseuse to calm my excitement and send me off to sleep.
There are few moments which fill your heart and stay there permanently as one of the most treasurable memory such was this one: I woke up to the sound of flowing Kali river, the heartwarming chirpings of birds & the fresh breeze coming straight from the Dandeli jungles. Our tents were pulled ashore, and we went ahead to freshen up and get ready for our early morning Jungle trek.
We were all ready to go in just half an hour and we were already sitting in the restaurant area sipping on the freshly brewed coffee and enjoying the view!
Do you ever feel like you deserve to treat yourself like this every once in a while?
To take a trip or a nice vacation to reward yourself for all the hard work and time that you have put in!
Then keep your coffee mug aside and get up and get going!
Adios for now!
The next part of my journey will be out soon!
Stay tuned!
And by the way, enjoy your coffee.
